CARES Act: Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act CARES Act - enacted by the 116th United States Congress to provide emergency assistance and health care response for individuals, families and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. State and Local governments were a part of the CARES Act relief effort.

American Rescue Plan Act:

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act is a federally funded economic aide that will in part give money to state, local and tribal governments across America.  The City of Amarillo will receive $39.7 million. The ARP Act defines how the money may be used in response to the impacts of COVID-19.
